Not so many things left! But still all on the list. And, yes, there are so many more things that need to be added to that list. Buy a new house, hang pictures on the walls, get my parents to come visit us here. So many, I can’t even think of what to write.
Yesterday was Brock’s surprise Birthday celebration. His real birthday isn’t until Tuesday, but his friends and I took him out to the National White Water Rafting park, and spent the day out there. It was SO much fun! We had a great guide on the course, and all of us were working together as a team. He said we did a kick-ass job, and we were allowed to try things that a weaker boat wouldn’t have been allowed to do. That place is awesome. I hope we can go back a bunch of times. There is so much to do there, and we were only there for 4 hours. It would be nice to get to do more!
The hardest part of the day was leaving Ronan with Nancy and John. I trust them SO much, and I’m so glad they were willing to keep him for a few hours. I got all silly, and nervous… I kept telling them thins they already know – their daughter is already over a year old. But I didn’t cry… until I got to the car! Haha. I cried in the car. It was so strange to just not have him around, to know that I couldn’t look back and see him, or listen carefully and hear him. Even now, as I type this, I can look up to the pack-and-play, and watch him breathe. That feeling is… unsettling.
Today was Ronan’s 2 month visit. He now weighs 13 pounds, 6 ounces. He is in the 90th percentile for growth, and length. He had all of his vaccinations, and I’m spending the rest of the day loving on him when he’s awake, and checking on him frequently when he’s asleep. He screamed when he got the shots, but calmed down as soon as I started nursing him. Honestly, I cried longer than he did. It hurts to see your baby hurting. I don’t know what I’m gonna do the first time he breaks a bone.
Anyways. That’s enough for now. This picture is from when we got home from rafting, so excuse the scary hair and crazy clothes. Ronan was just chilling out on my leg like a big kid, so Brock took a picture.
