So, Brock is gone for the weekend. Bachelor party. Aren’t there rules about leaving your wife alone in the 3rd trimester? Oh well.
We’ve done a lot of talking and a lot of thinking about what we’re going to do re: baby/work situation. I’m not going to post it here until everything is in place, just in case.
And in other news, my buddy gave a little description of her top six subs, and I thought it was a great idea, so I’m going to do it too. I’ll do the top six that post the most, rather than just randomly six on there. Here goes!
Supa Beff – She goes by Curlyquilter, which is also an awesome name, but I’m partial to Beff (Beth!). She is my crazy Canadian friend, and I never get tired of reading her blogs… as a matter of fact, I miss her when she’s gone and her internet usage is patchy. I feel like I need a dose of Beff sometimes! I talk about her blogs enough that Brock calls her “the crazy quilter lady?” whenever I mention her. (Ha!) She’s probably the funniest, smartest, most real person I’ve ever met.
MustangSally – Manda! She is the perfect example of why blogs work. She writes nearly every day without fail, and her blogs never get boring or fake. (Unlike some other unbelieveable ‘bloggers’ out there!) I wake up every morning and read my subs email on my phone, and Amanda never lets me down. I’ve been with her through so much… funny how connected we start to feel after a while. I LOVE getting to read about her babies – niece, and new nephew – and cant wait to read about when she finds ‘the one’! *wink wink*
Okay, I don’t think I can do just six. I have to do all of them!
Funnydeeter – My seeeeeeeester! Sometimes it’s so easy to lose touch with people. Her brother and I aren’t married anymore, but I still love her and miss her terribly. Every day! Her blogs never fail to make me laugh, make me think, or make me wish she were around and we could go do fun things together. I can’t believe how excited I am that she’s going back to school just a few hours from here. It’s been YEARS since we’ve been able to hug. She doesn’t post very often, but every time she does, it makes me smile. (I just noticed I’ve been subscribed to you since 2004! Crazy!!)
MirandaWrites – I was going to say I liked her old name better, but then I couldn’t remember what it was, so that just shot me in the foot! Under any name, Miranda is an awesome read. She’s been gone gone gone for a while now – life just got BUSY for her! Wedding planning, all of those pets, and new job to boot. She always has funny, crazy stories and pictures. She also sells… how do you put it Miranda? “Things that go buzz in the night”? Hahaha, something like that! Anyways, I miss seeing her around more often, but totally understand why we go under sometimes.
jadedmaudlin – A beautiful Pakistani girl that shares a little of her life, a little at a time. A life so very different than anything I know and have experienced. She’s a wonderful writer, and incredibly smart… I silently cheer her on in all of her endeavors – especially now Grad school. Whatever she chooses to persue in life, she will excel at. I always wish her happiness, and more importantly, safety.
lavidalinda – This mother of two is smart, beautiful, passionate, and an excellent writer that doesn’t give herself enough credit. She experienced something very similar to the events in my own life, and I felt so immediately connected to her that I subscribed, and never looked back. She has gone through and endured incredibly difficult times, and yet has done an incredible job keeping her head up, and putting her boys first. Sometimes I wish I could smack every person that lets her down, but mostly I just hope to be unyeilding support and friendship.
Laniecho – Lani! Took me a long time to figure out her name was “Lani Echo”… I used to always think of her as Lanie Cho. An aspiring lawyer, with lots to say… and yet so little to say lately! I have stuck with her through the first two years of law school, an amazing boyfriend that I’m SO glad she has found (and kept!), and now an incredibly adorable puppy that I’m sure keeps her busy. She doesn’t post much anymore either, but I love getting updates. I’m rooting for her and her interviews!!
And the retirees –
nohelpandlovingit – an absolutely amazing, gifted writer of fiction. Almost never posts any longer, but still hangs around!
Boatmeadow – The principal guy! I think you met him through me, Beth. Such a great story teller. Doesn’t post often enough at all. I think most of his stories have made me cry.
Ketill – A very good, old friend of mine that got into Xanga, and then… stopped.
Caseyatbat – A nice guy that also no longer posts anymore. Always posed spiritual questions that really got me thinking.
Katiebaby – Sweet, young girl going through really exciting times in her life, and relating them to her spirituality. She has faith unlike any I could imagine. She’s not really retired, she’s just not around much anymore.
That’s it!
Except for Dee, everyone here is someone that found me and became a reader… and I eventually found my way to their sites, liked what I read, and subbed back! I’m sure I have a TON of other readers out there that I really would love to read what they have to say – I just don’t have a ton of time to go looking for them.
And to my subs – I don’t comment enough, and I know it. I always want to share with what you have to say, and let you know I’m here, and I care. That’s the downside to reading what you write on my phone in bed… no way to comment! But I’m working on it. I’ll get better. Much <3 to you all.
That was fun!
