On to bigger and better things!

Brock and I have been discussing lately how we would like to decorate our nursery.  I’ve been having a tough time with this one.  I’m not terribly creative, I don’t have the ‘decorating’ bug, and I never have a clear picture in mind of what I want.

I can’t sort through nursery themes and pick the one that I think is the best.  I don’t want to spend a fortune on this stuff.  I just want it to be functional, cute, and neutral. 

Neutral?  Why?  Because I thought the idea of re-painting a room every time we have another baby seemed silly.  Lets go with something simple and neutral, and it will last us through more than one kid.

That idea isn’t working so well for me any more.  We’re going to know what the gender is, and it’s really hard NOT to like things one specific way or the other… today we decided to just go ahead and paint the room whatever color we decide, and worry about another kid when we have another kid.

I’m also having a tough time picking out furniture.  I really wish I could just hire someone to do it for me.  Does anyone out there like designing rooms and want to create a cute and fun nursery?  I told Brock he could do the whole thing and he sort of shied away from that.

We’ll see.  Maybe my ‘nesting’ urge will kick in, and everything will be great.
