I had the coolest morning.
I’m not really talking about how I have the day off (to get a crown), or how I drove to the Social Security Administration to have my name changed. I’m also not referring to my shower, or the great egg and cheese biscuit I had for breakfast.
So far, the best part of my day happened before I even rolled out of bed.
Brock and I enjoy waking up slowly together, so we set the alarm for about 30 minutes before we ‘need’ to get up. When we hear the first alarm, we roll over, kiss each other good morning, and lay together in warmth and comfort. It is a beautiful way to start any day – I highly recommend it.
THIS morning, however, we had a guest in our bed! The little baby inside of me was kicking up a storm… I have honestly never felt so much movement, or so strongly been kicked. I feel like this child gets stronger every day. Brock rolled over and laid his hand on my belly (remember, I’m only 17 weeks here!). After about fifteen seconds, he started going, “Wow…. wow… WOW!” It was just kick after kick after kick.
So incredible… thrilling, exciting, undeniably real.
And so amazing that Brock gets to share it with me. That was my favorite part of this morning.
