Happy St. Patrick’s Day (Yesterday!)
Even though Brock wasn’t home, I still went out with some friends. I had a huge blast!
First, I got to go over and visit with my friends N and O, as well as their little son, R. He’s now 5 months old, and getting to be so amazing to spend time with. He’s so happy, and sweet and wonderful! I held him for over an hour, while we were eating dinner… which was another accomplishment! I ate salmon last night, and it was wonderful!!
*** I don’t normally eat any sort of sea food, nor do I like to try new foods. This was a double whammy. ***
So we all went out to meet some of N & O’s friends. We started out at the Galloway Hooker, which is an Irish Pub. Evidently, all of Charlotte was there as well. We stuck around for about an hour, and when they wouldn’t let some friends of ours in, we took off to another place. This time, Corkscrew which is a little wine bar. We sat in some couches in the neatest atmosphere, I had a glass of wine and met some really amazing people. We enjoyed chatting all night!
Since N & O had a babysitter, we headed back to their place around 10. We sat and talked for a while, and I left for home around 10:30. Got in the house, cleaned up, and called Brock, to be sound asleep by 11. It was a really good evening.
(Flint was in his crate all night because I was out, so I let him sleep with me… in the bed. Don’t tell Brock!!!)
Anyhow, since Brock is STILL out of town tonight, I’m going to go back over tonight to watch American Idol with them. I may not get all the cleaning done that I want, but this time they said to just bring Flint with me so he wont have to stay home alone all night. I need to give him a bath before we go. Ugh.
Friends are so great.
