This is a story for Xanga!
Facebook is a wonderful connection-finder if you’re interested in hearing from people you haven’t spoken to in years.
A few weeks ago, I got a message from one of the girls I went to highschool with. She was congratulating me on my engagement, and had noticed that I worked as an Ultrasound tech. She was surprised how we were in similar fields, as she does PACS installations for hospital radiology programs. (I know it doesn’t seem similar, but it really is.) She mentioned that she travels the US going to different hospitals, and perhaps one day she would be in North Carolina, and we should meet up.
Fast forward a few months, and I got another message saying she was going to be in Charlotte for a week, we should go out for lunch! Started planning a little meet-up for when and where she would be here.
Fast forward to today… she’s supposed to be at a hospital in down town Charlotte. I get a phone message from her saying she was sorry she wouldn’t be able to meet up today, because she’s at some “Huntersville hospital,” and sucks that it wont work out.

I work at Huntersville Hospital.
How crazy is that?! So I ran down on my lunch break to say hello, we’re going to meet when she’s all done. Totally cool right? Yeah, I thought so too.
