Yesterday was so super fun!
Brock and I spent the morning the very best way – lounging about in bed until Noon. I know, I know… how can you stay in bed until noon? Very easily.
We finally got up and moving about, and headed up to the lake for the rest of the day. We started out by enjoying watching Flint and how eager he is to jump in the lake now. It took us a while to get him past being afraid of the water, but now he jumps in on command.
“Flint, JUMP!”
He is such a good dog!
I took a ton of pictures, but none of them were on my camera. They were all on Brock’s mother, Jane’s camera. Some of them turned out just fantastic!
I started out as the first one to wakeboard. I went a few times last summer, but didn’t ever really get the guts to go for long, or try anything interesting. This is the first time that I got behind the boat this year… I was being quite the chicken. I ended up having a fantastic time, and started getting the hang of things like handling choppy waves, and leaning my body in order to go one way or the other.
Evidently, Brock thought it was cute that my life-jacket was up in my face.
Honestly, it is so much harder than it looks, and it doesn’t look easy.
I guess I always hold my nose when I fall, too. How silly.
It looks like I was really having fun, though!
Brock snapped this gorgeous picture of his mom sitting in the boat, relaxing. I think it’s absolutely beautiful.
Brock went next. He is so much fun to watch. He’s so calm, relaxed, assured, confidant. I have yet to see someone else that I enjoy watching as much while he’s wakeboarding. It helps that he’s incredibly good looking… easy on the eyes, and all that.
I thought this picture was just perfect.
…and I thought this was the best possible finish. Brock makes a big splash when he hits the water!
Really, though, he’s just great.
I don’t know why he was making this face, but I liked it.
Brady, Brock’s youngest brother, went last and he got up for the first time, as far as I know, ever. We were so excited… he tried all day, and kept getting /so close/. We cheered when he got out of the water and rode for a while. The camera didn’t catch the vibrance of the grin on his face. It was amazing to see, and great fun to watch.
All in all, it was about the best holiday I’ve had yet. It was only one day, but it was so relaxing, and fun. I’m incredibly sore today from the work-out I had behind the boat, but it was so worth it. I just thought it would be fun to share some pictures.
(No, Mom, it’s not as dangerous as it looks!!!)
