It is only 9:42 in the morning, and already it’s a beautiful day.
I am sitting in the sun room at Ted and Jane’s house. The sun is shining on my back, and I can hear the intermittent “ding” of the wind chimes off of the deck. Sun is dancing on the leaves to my left, and the potted plants on my right shimmy in the wind. I love it here. I really do.
I am here because I plan on spending most of the day on the boat or in the lake. I love to lay out in the sun with my book and my thoughts, and nothing more than the sun and the breeze off of the lake to keep me company. Flint hangs around too.
However, it’s now 9:44, and the morning still has a little chill to it. Just enough that I’m not ready to brave the boat yet. Just enough that I think I’ll lie down on the couch and catch a quick nap. Just enough to wait a little longer.
It’s always worth the wait.
