Update time:
This morning, I went to the hospital at 7:45, and had a CT scan done. They did two scans, one without radiographic dye, and one with. I then came home and went back to bed.
I had to prep for the CT, and my prep was 5 prednisone pills at 8 pm lastnight, 5 at 2 am this morning, and 5 at 8 am just before the scan. I had to take the pills with food. So, at 2 am this morning, Dee and I drove to Perkins and had the AWESOME breakfast. It was a lot of fun.
Back to today. They had to inject this dye into my vein. I’m not so good with needles, so I laid in the CT bed and quietly panicked. I kept my eyes closed, and I felt my heart rate go ballistic. I was really really terrified, but I didn’t do anything. I just laid there. I wonder if they noticed.
After my nap, I woke up and went to the neurologist who requisitioned the CT. Her name is Kate Florio, and she happens to be a student at the dance studio where I take class. She also happens to be a really amazing woman who helped me out by not charging me for the office visit. My CT turned out to be totally normal, and the cause of my headaches appears to be Migranes.
So, now I’m on a ton of medicine, and I have “emergency” pills to take if the headaches ever get as bad as they were Tuesday night. Sounds good, right?
I’ll take migranes over brain tumors any day.
