And….
I’m back!
Ok, peoples. After a very long few weeks of lots of school, lots of homework, and now finals, I’m back. Back with tons of stories, and tons of things to chat about.
How about I chat, and you listen? Sounds good to me.
Dance has been going swimmingly. I joined the Adult Hip-hop class, and I couldn’t enjoy it more. I have met a few ladies in there that are really fun to dance with, and really fun to know. They have asked me to get together with them and “refresh” the dance, because they can’t remember it after not doing it for a whole week. The fun part is that the dance isn’t important. Every few weeks we start working on a new “dance” that Raena choreographs the night before, and the real purpose is just to get everyone in the habit of stringing a few dance moves together. This isn’t our recital piece, and it isn’t important. However, they treat it like, “If I don’t get this dance, I’m going to quit forever.”
Now, you have to remember that most of these ladies have never danced before, and they’re doing this for the first time in their lives. That is admirable. I know exactly what it feels like, and how frustrating it can be. That is why I have offered to “teach” the dance to them, even though I’m not qualified to teach. I show them the moves as I remember them, and hope that that’s how Raena wanted us to do them. And I give them a little encouragement along the way.
In other news, school is finally done for the semester. I finished with my last three finals today. I’d like to say I did really well, but I wont know for sure until some time in January. By that time, I will have travelled to Canada and enjoyed myself for a while, and probably wont care any more.
I don’t remember if I’ve said this before, but I joined Lady Wellness, a ladies only gym here in town, and I love it. The crazy thing is I take 7 dance classes a week right now, and don’t really have the time to work out. I try to go at least on Mondays and Fridays, so that I’m not dancing and working out on the same days. We’ll see how it turns out next semester.
Speaking of next semester, I am planning on taking French 1 over at Augustana for the interim. That’s Jan 3rd to Jan 28th, 5 days a week, 3 hours a day. French 1 should just be a refresher from school, and then I’ll move into French 2. Both of them fit my schedule, and I’ll be able to take them at the same time as going to Southeast Tech. It’s gonna happen, Dee! I’m gonna know French, and so are my boys.
I think that’s about enough for now. Count on a post tomorrow.
Count on it!
