I can’t sleep, and I hate that. Right now, my lower back hurts, my ankles hurt, and I think I pulled a muscle in my arse.
I have this small issue with dance class. Don’t get me wrong, I love dance, but there are a few girls in the class that just want to chat all the time. I wouldn’t care if they were just chatting to eachother, but they’re chatting to the teacher, and she can’t teach while she’s talking. So we sit around for about 15 minutes at the beginning of every class, and listen to them spout. Yes, I know the normal ending to a sentence like that is to say “spout bullshit,” but I’m not quite that upset about it yet. Anyways, I pay a ton of money per month for dance classes, and we only end up dancing half an hour or 45 minutes out of the hour instead of the whole class. I don’t want to be a bitch and tell them to shut up, but I also think it would be nice if Raena got a little more strict about talking during class.
On a slightly different note, I had a blast in Jazz today. Most of the stuff wasn’t to complicated, and even though I’m not very GOOD at doing it, at least I can attempt it. There are a few girls in there that know even less dance then I do, and that makes me feel sorta nice. It’s not a competition or anything, but you know there’s something good about feeling you’re not the worst in the class. By far not the best, but also not the worst.
It’s funny when I think about it, too. I could look at every single dancer I dance with, and not name any single one of them as “The Best” or “Top Dancer.” They’re all really good at one or two things, and really bad at a few others. It pretty much evens out. If I had to make a choice, I would go by effort and perseverence, and much less by actual skill. Some of the girls that are just beautiful dancers have stinky attitudes, and that makes them very unattractive.
I really feel like writing more stuff, but my hands really hurt.
Oh yes! I’m going to Sparta to a wedding this Friday, Sat and Sun, so I wont be making any entries. But I’ll have something to talk about when I get back!
Woo!
